happy.

it's 10:52pm on tuesday, october 18th. i'm still a teenager, a sophomore in college, overwhelmed at times with 17 credits of tough classes, an internship, writing center commitment, club swim, leadership in campus outreach, family commitments, and church.

but tonight is just right.

i came back from a co meeting and did my get-ready-for bed routine, sat down at my desk, lit some candles, wrote out all the stressful things coming up to prepare for, and my to-do list for tonight.

i'm just starting russian homework- oh you beautiful nightly ritual- when the goodness of this moment makes me pause to appreciate. my ashokan farewell pandora station and pumpkin candle and the still quiet of this night with so much potential is so perfectly peaceful.

oh, yes. and alabama the day after tomorrow. sweet.
