Heaven is a Physical Place

I want you to know that The great reward of Heaven is Jesus Christ. Revelation promises that we will finally see him face-to-face which is on this earth a total impossibility. The great longing at the root of all your longings is to be fully known and loved, isn’t it? You desire to be cleansed from guilt and fear and your past, and you want someone else to see all the way into and throughout the deepest parts of you and accept them, and you. You have so many desires and you need to know that they existed to ultimately be met. Can you imagine being complete, lacking nothing? Can you imagine not needing anything that wasn’t provided for you? This is promised you. Heaven is a physical place where you will have a physical, resurrected body. The new Heavens and the new Earth will be where we experience the redemption of all that has been lost on this earth due to sin and corruption. Imagine your day or your city or your family without the effects of fallenness. It’s hard to do, isn’t it? Allow yourself to daydream about what life without sin will be like. CS Lewis will help. One day, you’ll experience it. It’ll be so much better than you could have ever imagined.
