saturday. arrive
got into union station and dragged 100 lbs of luggage around for awhile.
amanda got here.
went to bally's and worked out/got sweaty/went outside/froze.
get dressed up, wooooohooo. KENNEDY CENTER. president's box. pictures. incredddilbe, breathtaking, make-me-gasp-and-put-my-hand-over-my-mouth preformance.
peices played: 1- a normal national symphony orchestra piece. 2- a scary song. batman themesong/ halloween movie soundtrack. 3- rachmoninoff piano concerto. ahhhhh. inspiring.

dinner on raymond with the 924 girls.
watch the inagural concert on tv, since we didn't get to go.
monday. two girls and the city.

modern art museum, national gallary of art, walk to the capitol, down pennsylvania av to the post office for luch, to the washington/clinton memorial, WWII, lincoln, across the arlington bridge, see the changing of the gaurds, get tired of walking 6 miles, metro home.
tuesday. inaguration day!
up at 5am and off to allen's. arrive successfully despite the failure named garmii. rode with allen into dc and enjoyed getting through all the roadblocks. sat in foot traffic forever because "the metro police isn't worth 10 cents."
visited the hart senate building the headed for the fateful BLUE gate where we had excellent tickets to see the inaguation.
stand in line for 3 or 4 hours. the coldest i've ever been in my liiiife. sing with fellow standing-in-liners, but still get frustrated.
realize there isnt enough time for all 10,000 people to get through security before the inaguration starts so leave the line and run 14 blocks to the washington memorial to find a jumbotron. fail.
listen intently to the address. get goosebumps because it's live.
walk 5 miles back to 924.
lay exausted on the couch and thaw out then visit los tios.
wednesday.
chill.
thursday. by the sea!
wonderful visit to annapolis, maryland. quaint, sleepy, very olden days place. walked around the us naval academy and had amazing ribs and crab dip at buddy's. shopped in about every single little store on main street + starbucks. delicious day.
friday. to the city
went to GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY. my future alma mater, i hopeth. visited the new us history museam; pretty cool.
kerri and nicole came over for comfort food: turkey + dumplings. delish.
today.
chill. go home. miss ross's party. miss ragan and tabby. cry.
